In a Sales Satisfaction Index survey by JD Power and Associates of 55,000 car and truck owners, Saturn ranked number one. In 1994, Lexus took the title but dropped to number four in 1995. Infiniti earned second place in both years. Saturn was number one in salesperson performance, delivery activities, and initial product conditions -- the three subsections of the survey. According to the survey, 90% of Saturn customers were very satisfied with the sales and delivery of their 1995 cars. In the truck category, Oldsmobile was number one. Oldsmobile was number one in 1993, but lost its title in 1994 to Land Rover, which dropped to number six in 1995. Saturn and Oldsmobile are divisions of General Motors Corp. JD Power and Associates noted that Saturn has the largest percentage of female salespeople at 26%, which easily beats the industry average of 8%. For the first time in the surveys 9 year history, domestic automakers did not win as a group, as a result of five of the ten name.
Used to be true, but its no longer true. See 1997 Master Tax Guide SS1215 Leased Property Restrictions. This deals with the lease of a luxury car. I think about two years ago the law was changed to discourage a business from leasing luxury cars and then writing them off. SS1215 outlines the inclusion amount that must be excluded from expense (added to income depending on how you look at it). This amount is basically designed to nullify some of the tax advantages of leasing a luxury car. Again, I hate the IRS and me study hard to em good.
