Has anyone had a good/bad experience buying a used car on an auction. Ive run into www.usgovcars.com, and Im trying to figure out if its a complete scam, or whats the catch - theyre selling $7000 cars for $700? Any info would be appreciated.
Hi Adam!, in response to your ad. Dealer auctions are the best. Hook up with a small used car dealer in your area, try and have him/her take you to their local auctions with them. You will have to pay them a broker fee, at least $500. Im not sure if you can find a $2-3,000 car with around 10K miles. Most cars ive seen for that price are old and over 100,000 miles. or wrecked. Also, DEA and Repo car auctions that ive been to are asking retail prices!!! They are also open to the public and are not really that good of a deal. Some newspaper ads try to make them sound like their the greatest thing. Beware of things that sound too good to be true, they are usually B.S. Do some more hunting and hopefully youll find what you want. Hope this helped you some. Happy Hunting.
