There is a new web site that went up this week that is an online auction
for muscle and classic and performance cars and parts. Its like eBay

| There is also the fact that many dont grasp the differences between a
live auction and an online auction.
With live auctions, the usual format is to continue the auction until
the bids stop. Since the bidders and the auctioneer are in constant
communication with each other, this is *very* easy to determine.
In an online auction, this simply isnt possible, so other rules must
prevail. With a set time for the auction to end, bidding strategies
can be made to take a fixed ending time into account. If the ending
time is not fixed, then those bidders wanting to taylor their bidding
to the prevailing bids at the end of the auction are prevented from
doing that. This is *NOT* in the bidders favor. |
