| Im not sure if Beckett uses any of the information provided to them at all. I had a
Kobe Bryant/Karl Malone Co-Signers which booked at $1200 (and still does). I
reported the sale of mine to Beckett @ $750, and I know of one other person who sold
his for $800. Since this was a group A auto, there just arent that many of them,
but the price holds steady. So Im not convinced Beckett reports marketplace
activity at all. |

to automobiles as well, yet NADA Blue books for automobiles can be found
anywhere.
Davis
The biggest difference Davis, between the automobile price guides and boat
price guides is that auto guides provide specific options for each car that
affect resale value. They also have specific adjustments for miles.
There are only 30 auto manufacturers throughout the world with only a few
models per manufacturer compared to thousands of boat manufacturers producing
sometimes over 40 different models each.
With a strong secondary market there are literally thousands of same model cars
auctioned each week.
The amount of data to determine car prices is phenomenal when compared with the
amount of resale information available to boat book editors.
For instance, the Marine Blue Books that I edit contain over 200,000 boats,
motors and trailers. Many of the boats I price have no resale history so I

| I tried Auto-by-Tel. The dealer never got back to me, so I contacted
Auto-by-Tel and they told me that I should call the dealer. Turns out that
hes about an hours drive away so I blew it off. |

ease of use there is a listing by author and a separate listing by
title. Multiple
listings are available for many titles with each entry coded to the
originating source.
Entries are coded for condition, signed, inscribed, limited, ARC, Proof,
association, etc.
